Holiday fun run

A CHARITY fun run organised by the Henley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society will be held on bank holiday Monday.

A CHARITY fun run organised by the Henley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society will be held on bank holiday Monday.

The 5.2-mile circular race will start in Temple Island Meadows at 11am.

Runners will go along the Thames towpath to Leander Club, on to Remenham Lane to Aston, where water will be available at the Flower Pot pub, down to the Aston Ferry and then rejoin the towpath before passing Hambleden Lock and returning to Temple Island Meadows.

There will be trophies for the winning men, women, junior boys and girls (under 16) and the runners-up. Medals will be awarded to all finishers.

Runners can register on the day though it is recommended that they arrive by 10am. Parking will be available near the start/finish field. Refreshments will be available at the finish.
