ALMOST 100 people attended a fashion show at Goring and Streatley Golf Club in aid of the NSPCC.

The event, now in its 10th year, raised £1,850. It was organised by the NSPCC West Berkshire Luncheon Club.

Seven members and one guest modelled 28 ladies’ outfits ranging from casual to occasion wear provided by the Clothes Shop in Newbury.

Takings were boosted by a raffle, with prizes including flowers, chocolates and bottles of wine.

Club member Lyn Ashworth said: “Everyone had a good time — it’s one of the highlights of our year.”

The club has raised more than £65,000 for the NSPCC since it was founded in 1998.
