MORE than £250 was raised at a jumble sale in Charvil village hall.

MORE than £250 was raised at a jumble sale in Charvil village hall.

The money will go towards new sheet music and concert uniforms for two choirs, Jewel Tones and Charvil Voices, which hosted the event.

Among the items for sale were toys, books and clothes from members of the choirs and their families. Suzanne Newman, musical director of both choirs, said: “Members and their families worked very hard to sort out the jumble and then sell as much as possible.”

Jewel Tones is for girls aged 10 to 18 and Charvil Voices is aimed at women singers.
