A CHARITY sale will be held at the Fish volunteer centre in Sonning Common village hall tomorrow (Saturday) from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

Gifts and Christmas cards will be on sale at stalls run by charities including the Berkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, the Kidmore End branch of the Royal British Legion, Christian Community Action, Dogs Trust, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Sue Ryder, Thames Valley Animal Rescue, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust, the Ways and Means Trust and Fish itself.

Wood turner Peter Rikard will donate profits from the sale of his wares to the centre.

The Sonning Common and District Care Fund will run a tombola and there will also be a raffle.

Fish, which provides transport for elderly and vulnerable residents in the area, organises the annual sale and hires the hall. Last year’s sale raised £2,200.
