LANGTREE School in Woodcote will hold a Santa fun run on December 1.

The 5km race will start and finish at the school and will follow a route around the village.

It is open to adults and children in year 7 or above. There is also a 1km race for younger children called Santa’s Little Helpers.

There will be prizes for the winners and all runners will be given healthy snacks and water afterwards. Refreshments will be available for spectators.

Everyone who registers in advance is guaranteed to receive a medal and the first 50 entrants will be given a Santa suit to run in.

The event has been organised by Langtree teacher Emma Morel and a committee of seven year 10 students.

Proceeds will go towards the school’s £200,000 appeal for a floodlit artificial pitch.
