Father Christmas to tour villages

SANTA CLAUS will be touring Henley and Shiplake over the next two weeks as part of Henley Round Table’s annual

SANTA CLAUS will be touring Henley and Shiplake over the next two weeks as part of Henley Round Table’s annual Christmas float collection for charity.

On Wednesday he will visit Henley, starting in Manor Road before moving on to Berkshire Road, Belle Vue Road, Cromwell Road, Western Road, Western Avenue, Peppard Lane and Vicarage Road.

The following day, he will visit Lower Shaplake, starting in Station Road and then going to Northfield Avenue, Mill Road, New Road and Crowsley Road. Santa will also be touring the area on the back of his sleigh on December 7, 8, 12, 13, 14. The routes will be announced in next week’s Henley Standard.

Meanwhile, Santa will join members of Goring, Woodcote and District Lions Club and volunteers for their 32nd year annual sleigh tour. They will play seasonal carols and collect donations as they visit the following locations: December 11 and 12 Sonning Common, December 12 Whitchurch; December 16 and 17 Goring; December 18 and 19 Woodcote; December 20 Whitchurch Hill (all from 7pm to 9pm)

All proceeds will go towards the Lions’ charity projects.
