Shoppers donate £125 to Over-60s Club

CUSTOMERS of the Sainsbury’s store in Henley have raised £125 for the town’s Over-60s Club.

CUSTOMERS of the Sainsbury’s store in Henley have raised £125 for the town’s Over-60s Club.

The money was collected in charity boxes at the store in Bell Street and presented in the form of a cheque at a Christmas dinner at the club in Greys Road car park. It will be used to fund maintenance of the building as well as day trips for members.

Another £38 was raised by pupils at Valley Road Primary School who went busking in the town centre.Club manager Lynda Mortimer said: “Donations like this are very important to keep the club going and give our members lots of activities to look forward to.”
