NOMINATIONS are now being accepted for this year?s Sue Ryder women of achievement awards.

Now in their eighth year, the awards recognise inspirational women from Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

They will be presented in seven categories, including young achiever under 30, lifetime achiever, sportswoman of the year, creative woman of the year and businesswoman of the year.

There is also a community award for women who make a positive contribution to their area either socially of through work and a volunteering award.

The deadline for nominations is February 2. A panel of judges will shortlist three women in each category abd winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow on March 19.

The awards are sponsored by Invesco Perpetual, CH&Co Catering and Higgs Group, publisher of the Henley Standard.
