Animal lover nets £3,000 with charity head shave

A WOMAN raised almost £3,000 for Blue Cross by having her head shaved.

A WOMAN raised almost £3,000 for Blue Cross by having her head shaved.

Theresa Lovegrove, 26, who works at the charity’s rehoming centre in Lewknor, said: “I love my job and am passionate about the work Blue Cross does.

“It cares for more than 40,000 sick, injured and homeless pets every year and all of this is done through donations.

“I get to see first-hand the difference this makes to the lives of so many pets and I want to raise as much as I can for the animals I help care for every day.”

Ms Lovegrove, who owns a dog, hamster and a snake, had originally planned to raise £500.

She said: “I’m overwhelmed by how generous people have been but if anyone else would like to donate there’s still time!”
