Money to play with: a day centre for disabled children in Henley has received a donation of £1,000 to help pay for an activity day. Henley Lions club presented the money to the Chiltern Centre off Greys Road. In May, the centre held the first Day to Remember, with attractions including bell ringers, a magician and a disco. The club hopes to hold the second event in the summer and wants to include an outdoors area. Centre worker Pamela Lee, who organised the day, said: "We are very grateful to the Lions for their generous donation. This gives us the opportunity to provide a day when the families can come together and enjoy a range of activities together." The money was given to the Lions at Christmas by the Shanly Foundation, the charitable arm of Shanly Homes
