Day centre book sale

A BOOK sale to raise funds will be held at the Millstream Day Centre in Benson

A BOOK sale to raise funds will be held at the Millstream Day Centre in Benson tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am to 3pm.

Thousands of second-hand books will be for sale and light refreshments and lunches will be available.

The centre is also selling tickets for its 400 Club lottery. It costs £5 for entry into four draws during the year and there are top prizes of £100 each time. Half the income goes towards the centre’s running costs.

The centre provides companionship, entertainment and lunch for the elderly and disabled residents in Benson, Ewelme and the surrounding area.

It is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm. New members are always welcome. Contact centre manager David Perry on (01491) 834889.



The trustees, led by new chairman Christopher Clarke, have agreed to proceed with the registration of a new governance document with the Charities Commission.
