MORE than 40 guests attended a charity lunch in aid of the Riverside Counselling Service in Henley.

The two-course meal, which was held at the French Horn restaurant in Sonning, raised more than £1,200. Guests enjoyed a morning of shopping courtesy of Sarah Louise West, Sally Allen Accessories, Pauline Farran of Greige and Nadieh Hodgson jewellery.

There was also a silent auction with prizes provided by antiques expert Jonty Hearnden, of the Art of Fundraising. The money raised will go towards The Space, a counselling service set up by Riverside for children and young people above Magoos bar in Hart Street, Henley.

Fund-raiser Emma Lerche-Thomsen thanked Michael Emmanuel, owner of the French Horn, for hosting the event.
