Ninth year for charity cycle ride

SUE Ryder has launched its ninth annual cycling event.

SUE Ryder has launched its ninth annual cycling event.

Ride for Ryder will take place on Sunday, May 10, starting and finishing in the grounds of the charity’s hospice in Nettlebed.

It features routes winding through the Chiltern Hills, including part of the Tour of Britain 2014 route.

There will be a choice of three routes to suit all abilities. All participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 and it’s hoped the event will raise £8,000 for the hospice.

Route options and related fees are 10 miles (£10 registration fee), 25 miles (£15) and 60 miles (£20).

Vikki Miles, Sue Ryder’s events fund-raiser, said: “We are really excited to be hosting Ride for Ryder Nettlebed again this year. It’s a fantastic cycling event which takes you around some really beautiful local countryside.

“This event has always been really well-supported and raises invaluable funds for our local services and we’re hoping it will be equally as successful this year.”

You can register online at www.sueryder.org/get-involved/events/all-events/2015/may/ride-for-ryder-nettlebed or call the fund-raising office on (01491) 641384 ext. 246.
