PAUL DANIELS will be raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution with a show at this year’s Wargrave Village Festival.

The magician, who lives in Willow Drive with his wife Debbie McGee, will be performing in a marquee on Mill Green on June 24.

The show is one of 41 that will take place over two weeks in June.

Michael Porter, who chairs the Wargrave branch of the RNLI, said: “Paul is the only magician in the history of the London Magic Circle to receive the top three global magic awards, so this is a unique night not to be missed. Come and be entertained by one of the world’s masters of magic.”

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and can be bought from Mr Porter by calling 07967 975964.

• Wargrave RNLI will be running its annual car boot sale at the Piggott School in Twyford Road on Sunday, June 7 from 8am to 1pm. Admission is £10 for selling cars and £15 for selling vans or trailers and £2 for buyers’ cars. Refreshments will be available.
