Ferrari ride thrills youngsters at Silverstone

A GROUP of disabled, disadvantaged and seriously ill children, together with their siblings, shared the thrill

A GROUP of disabled, disadvantaged and seriously ill children, together with their siblings, shared the thrill of being driven around Silverstone’s Stowe circuit in a Ferrari California T.

The event last Friday was organised by Ferrari North Europe.

It was held held in conjunction with two charities: Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes to children living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, and BEN, the automotive industry’s dedicated charity which provides care, financial help, emotional support and advice for those who work or have worked in the automotive industry and their dependants.

While each child took part in an adrenaline-charged passenger ride with a professional driver at the wheel, their families enjoyed a programme of entertainment within the Stowe Complex, courtesy of event sponsors including PlayStation and Lego.

They also had the chance to mingle with celebrity attendees.

Present at this year’s Ferrari California T Experience was special guest, chart-topping singer and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

Francesco Balli, Regional Manager for Ferrari North Europe, commented: “It is our honour and privilege to share the exhilaration of riding in a Ferrari with more truly deserving children.”
