Lifesaver installed

A PUBLIC access defibrillator has been installed in Whitchurch.

A PUBLIC access defibrillator has been installed in Whitchurch.

The device was set up earlier this month in the disused red telephone box in High Street.

It was paid for by Stephen Trinder, a former chairman of the Whitchurch Society, who died a fortnight ago.

It may be used by anyone as it is automatic and will only work if it detects an abnormal heart rhythm.
