Football fund-raiser

AMATEUR footballers raised more than £2,500 for a Wargrave charity.

AMATEUR footballers raised more than £2,500 for a Wargrave charity.

The team from NTT Com Security took part in a charity tournament in Reading with the funds going to Camp Mohawk, a day centre for children with special needs in Highfield Lane. They won the final against Fasttec 6-1.

In May, 25 NTT employees ran the Royal Berkshire 10km Corporate Challenge, raising £2,000 for the charity.

Mohawk manager Chris Wilcox said: “NTT have been a fantastic help for us this year and I’d like to encourage more companies to get in touch and fund-raise for us.

“I am happy to show organisations around the site or come to their offices to tell them about what we do and how we could work together.

“We hold corporate and community days where small or large groups can come to Camp Mohawk for the day to build shelters, lay paths and generally help out around the site.”
