THE annual Chiltern Vintage Tractor Charity Run, which took place in May, raised £4,479.56 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.

This brings the total the event has raised in nine years to £27,796.65.

More than 50 tractors travelled from the Chequers pub in Fingest and back through Stokenchurch, West Wycombe, Parmoor and the Culden Faw estate in Hambleden. Several of them pulled trailers with passengers.

Gary Anderson, of the Ferguson Club, which organises the run, thanked everyonewho supported it, including the tractor drivers and their families, farmers/landowners, St Katharine’s, Parmoor, Booker airfield, Thames Valley Police, sponsors, marshals and people who baked cakes or provided refreshments.

He said: "Because of the success in raising funds the run has developed into an annual event."

Next year’s run will take place on Sunday, May 15.
