Scout teas

TWO afternoon teas were held in Goring to raise money for the village’s 2nd British Boy

TWO afternoon teas were held in Goring to raise money for the village’s 2nd British Boy Scouts.

The events were organised by members of the Cleeve-by-Goring Women’s Institute, who provided home-made cakes and hot drinks.

The first took place at the village hall and included a performance by the Goring and Streatley Concert Band while the second was held at Goring lock.

Scouts, cubs and beavers set out the tables, collected crockery and helped with the washing-up.

The event raised £500 for the scouts and £150 for the band.
