Female entrepreneurs hold cake sale

Nicole Wallace and three friends raised £136 for charity by holding a charity cake sale outside

Nicole Wallace and three friends raised £136 for charity by holding a charity cake sale outside Binfield Heath Stores.

Nicole, 12, was supporting the Microloan Foundation, which helps the poorest women in rural Africa to help themselves and their families out of poverty by offering loans and business training to female entrepreneurs. When they’re able, the women pay back the loan and Microloan uses this money to offer more loans. The girls are all pupils at the Abbey School in Reading and their initiative was part of a school project.
