Camp Mohawk, a multi-functional day centre for children with special needs near Wargrave, has received a £1,122 donation from Argofield, a Maidenhead online retailer selling children’s bedroom items. The company collected the money via an automatic donation scheme on its website. When a customer places an order of £100 or more a percentage is automatically given to Camp Mohawk and the children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star. Argofield director Richard Deamer, who lives in Wargrave, and marketing director Adam Pratt, of King’s Road, Henley, presented centre manager Chris Wilcox with a cheque. The money will go towards the charity’s Hawks group which meets every week during term time for activities including archery, cookery, games nights, bowling, go-karting and discos. Mr Deamer said: “We have supported Camp Mohawk throughout the past year as they do such fantastic work for disadvantaged children and their families. Our customers can also take pleasure in knowing that while they are shopping for their own children, that they are helping less fortunate children.”
