The Aliquando Chamber Choir’s concert of Handel’s Solomon at St Mary’s Church in Henley last month raised £4,700
The Aliquando Chamber Choir’s concert of Handel’s Solomon at St Mary’s Church in Henley last month raised £4,700 for the Wyfold Riding for the Disabled Association. The concert received financial support from Henley Town Council, local businesses and individuals. Gill Rushworth, fund-raiser for Wyfold RDA, said: “This is a truly wonderful Christmas present. We had a really inspiring evening and were overwhelmed by the support of so many local people. [Mucsial director] Anne Evans and the Aliquando Choir are an amazing bunch of talented people who give their time, effort and talent to raise money for local charities such as ourselves and it was a privilege to work with them.” Aliquando’s next concert will be a ramble through time in honour of British Composers at the Christ Church Centre in Henley on May 14.
