A GUITAR auctioned for Sue Ryder raised £285 for the charity
A GUITAR auctioned for Sue Ryder raised £285 for the charity.
The pink Nevada Stratocaster was donated to the charity's Nettlebed hospice by the Rewind Festival, which was held at Temple Island Meadows in August.
It was signed by many of the Eighties pop starts who performed, including T?Pau singer Carol Decker, Marc Almond, Midge Ure, Nick Heyward, the Sugarhill Gang, Billy Ocean and Peter Cox of Go West.
Tracey Hancock, head of fundraising at Sue Ryder, said: "It went on eBay in December and did really well. It's a really nice and slightly different way of supporting us and the guitar is something unique and special with a local connection. It's nice that the organisers of Rewind choose to support an important local charity."
