THE trustees of Eye and Dunsden village hall are urging residents to back their bid for a £25,000 grant.
The money, which would be provided by the One Family Foundation, would go towards a wheelchair-accessible kitchen and serving hatch for the community to use.
At the moment, there is no way for wheelchair users to get in and most of the equipment cannot be used by people with disabilities.
The grant would cover the cost of the work, including labour.
The project ranks fourth out of nine currently in the running but must take top spot by Wednesday in order to win the money.
