A BUCKET collection held at Whitchurch Bridge raised £801.36
A CHARITY collection held at Whitchurch Bridge raised £801.36 for Pangbourne Rotary Club.
It was carried out just before Christmas by Rotarians who stood at the toll barriers with Father Christmas and his sleigh.
It was the last in a series of collections that took place at the bridge during 2015, raising hundreds of pounds for local causes, including Whitchurch and Stoke Row primary schools, the Path Hill outdoor centre in Whitchurch and Headway Thames Valley.
There is also an ongoing series of collections for the village pre-school.
A Whitchurch Bridge Company spokesman said: “We thank those users who generously gave money.”
