Charity in search for patron

CAMP Mohawk in Wargrave is seeking a patron.

CAMP Mohawk in Wargrave is seeking a patron.

The Highfield Lane centre provides outdoor and holiday activities for children with special needs.

The charity has grown steadily over the last 12 years and now has a team of three full-time managers, seven trustees and dozens of  volunteers.

Manager Chris Wilcox says a patron is needed to help encourage more support for the centre.

He said: “The ideal candidate would act as an ambassador for the charity, keeping in regular contact with the centre managers and trustees, while demonstrating a willingness and passion to rally support for Camp Mohawk whenever needed.

“This person should respect and care about Camp Mohawk’s aspirations and be prepared to sit down with our staff to agree on how to best to use their knowledge, influence, contacts and skills to help the charity achieve its goals.

“You never know — we may even be able to bag George Clooney!”

For more information, call Mr Wilcox on 0118 940 4045 or email info@campmohawk.org.uk
