A CHEQUE for almost £900 has been presented to Henley youth and community project Nomad
The money was raised by Clothing store Fat Face in Bell Street over the Black Friday shopping weekend last year.
The shop put 10 per cent of all sales to one side for the charity, which is based at the d:two centre in Upper Market Place.
Store supervisor Scott Hickman said: “We chose Nomad because it had to be a local charity and we thought ‘this is perfect, this is the one we want to help’.”
Tin Prior, Nomad’s youth and family team manager, said: “It’s a really generous contribution from Fat Face and it’s a good example of a business supporting a local project.”
Nationally, Fat Face stores raised £200,000 for charities over the course of the weekend.
