A PET charity in Lewknor is urging owners to have their animals microchipped or risk losing

A PET charity in Lewknor is urging owners to have their animals microchipped or risk losing them forever.

Half of all the dogs admitted to the Blue Cross rehoming centre on London Road last year were strays from dog pounds or found wandering the streets.

From April 6 it will become law for all dogs to be chipped and owners may face a fine if they do not comply.
