RAF team runs again

ONE hundred members of personnel at RAF Benson will take part in the Reading half marathon

ONE hundred members of personnel at RAF Benson will take part in the Reading half marathon on April 3.

They will be raising money for the RAF Benevolent Fund, which provides support for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependent children.

The runners have set themselves a target of £10,000 with each member of the team challenged to raise £100.

They include station commander Gp Capt Simon Paterson, who said: “I’m delighted that we have such a large team ready to take on the Reading half marathon again.

“It’s going to be a massive challenge, both physically and to raise a bigger sum than last year, but I’m confident that we can achieve it by working together. The RAF Benevolent Fund is a great cause and helps the RAF family in so many ways.”
