A PUB in Wargrave became a comedy club for a night of sketches by the village’s theatre group.

Wargrave Theatre Workshop staged Pint-Sized Plays, five comedy shorts, at the Bull in High Street. These included Triangles by Nigel Pocknell, the story of two naive suitors in pursuit of the same woman, and Going All The Way by Tony Cottrell, where the owner of a new satellite navigation system finds it has a mind of its own and seems intent on leading him astray. A bucket collection on the night raised almost £200 for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. The event was organised by workshop member Jill Sikkins.
