DOZENS of people attended a charity shopping event in aid of Henley’s Riverside Counselling service.

The event at Badgemore Park Golf Club included more than 25 stalls selling women’s clothing and shoes as well as toys, jewellery, candles, homewares and fresh bread.

It is the first time that Riverside has held a shopping day but it hopes to make it an annual event.

Emma Lerche-Thomsen, who organised the event with fellow fund-raiser Annie Abbey-Quinn, said: “It was really good to see our friends and supporters come out for this.

Attendance was good considering it was a new eventand hopefully we can build on it next year.”
