River cruise for charity

AN evening cruise with live music will raise money for the Chiltern Centre for disabled children

AN evening cruise with live music will raise money for the Chiltern Centre for disabled children in Henley.

It will take place on Hobbs of Henley’s New Orleans on May 26 from 7.15pm to 9.15pm.

The event is to support a team which is to attempt to swim 50 miles from Oxford to Henley in July and hopes to raise £15,000 for the charity.

Katia Vastiau, Mark Plested, Phil Carter, Malcolm Burfitt and Henley Swim founder Jeremy Laming hope to complete the swim in three days.

Tickets for the cruise cost £25, which includes a glass of prosecco and canapés from the Spice Merchant restaurant in Thames Side.
