AN appeal by a Henley charity shop for a new wheelbarrow after its was stolen has been answered.

The Oxfam shop in Market Place has been given one by Maureen Lawson, from Henley, and another by Pauline Lester, from Sonning Common, after a volunteer at the shop issued an appeal in the Henley Standard.

Mai Lee Burgess, manager of the shop, said: “A wheelbarrow is essential for our work as we receive a large number of broken and damaged items that have to be carried to the bins every day.

“A huge thank-you to both ladies and to the Henley Standard for highlighting our loss.”
