Two Henley town councillors donned leathers and motorcycle helmets to deliver a cheque for £465 to the Oxford Children’s Hospital. David Eggleton andLorraine Hillier rode his Triumph Bonneville America to the hospital. The money included a £100 donation from Soha Housing and £95 from a Christmas party organised by Donna Xanthidis for staff at Invesco Perpetual in Henley, where she works. Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Boots also donated food and products which were made into hampers for a raffle to raise the rest. Cllr Eggleton said: “I just love doing things for charity. I think everybody can do something, no matter how big or small.”
