TWO entrepreneurs have launched a crowdfunding website that makes it easier for wildlife charities to raise money online.
WildCrowd has been set up by Frances Brindle, from Checkendon, and her business partner Bjorn Blomqvist, from Henley.
Mrs Brindle has worked in marketing and fundraising and is also a charity trustee. Mr Blomqvist is a web developer.
The website is dedicated to environmental, conservation and animal welfare charities, which can use it to raise money for projects, appeal for volunteers or request donations for items such as pet food and building materials.
WildCrowd is a not-for-profit company, so all the money donated goes to the charity after the deduction of a small administration fee.
Three charities have already signed up — the Earth Trust, the Sylva Foundation and Thames Valley Animal Welfare.
