Snead and Eagle in fine form

HENLEY Chess Club moved up to the top of Division 2 with an unexpected win over Crowthorne B last week.

John Snead was on good form and scored Henley’s first point of the evening. Andy Eagle followed, snatching an excellent win in the final seconds of the session.

With a draw from captain Roger Betts and a default on board six, Crowthorne were forced to concede the match 3.5-2.5.
