HENLEY fought hard in their match against Maidenhead B last week to produce their first result of the season.

After a long absence from the team, David Lindsay returned to score a fine win on board five while Ed Batstone, Andy Eagle, David Lewis and Steve Pitts all drew their games, and the match was drawn 3-3.

Meanwhile at the club’s annual presentation of trophies, Batstone picked up the club shield for scoring most points for the team in the Berkshire League competition while Roger Betts won the club championship.
