HENLEY pulled out all the stops in their semi-final of the Tarrant Plate competition, played against Bracknell last week.

Captain Roger Betts, David Lindsay and Graham Sexton fought hard to win their games, while Ed Batstone drew.

With a walkover on Board 3, the team won the match 4.5 to 1.5 and are now through to the final for the third time in four years.

Henley will be facing the winner of the match between Maidenhead and Basingstoke.

Meanwhile, in their match against Sandhurst B, Henley struggled to make any impression on the visiting team.

Steve Pitts scored the only win for Henley, while Roger Betts and Andy Eagle both drew their games. The match was conceded 2-4.
