Plate final heartache

HENLEY lost out in the Tarrant Plate final when they went down to a strong Maidenhead side.

HENLEY lost out in the Tarrant Plate final when they went down to a strong Maidenhead side.

Andy Eagle scored the only win for Henley, while Steve Pitts drew as Henley lost 4.5-1.5. In the last League match of the season, captain Roger Betts led Henley to an emphatic win without loss against Bracknell.

With wins from Ed Batstone, Andy Eagle, John Snead, Graham Sexton and a draw from Doug Emmett, Henley won 5.5-0.5.
