Flower arranging workshop raises £1,000 for appeal

A FLOWER arranging workshop and lunch raised £1,000 towards the refurbishment of a Wargrave church.

Rachel Siegfried, who owns florists Green and Gorgeous in Little Stoke, held the session at the Quince Tree in Stonor.

The money will go to the 21st Century Project, which aims to raise £500,000 for improvements to St Mary’s Church in Station Road.

More than 40 women attended the event, where Miss Siegfried gave a presentation and talk about her work and the different types of flowers she uses in her arrangements.

She then gave a demonstration on how to create a wedding bouquet. The finished bouquet was then raffled and won by Sue Launders.
