THE long-awaited biopic of one of Britain’s most famous film directors, Alfred Hitchcock, arrives at the Regal Picturehouse next Friday, February 15, and to celebrate the release the cinema has joined forces with the Henley Standard and 20th Century Fox to give away some great prizes in an easy-to-enter competition.
Hitchcock (12A) is the story of how the director’s most famous film, Psycho, was made. The film details the events at the Bates Motel, where the strange Normal Bates is beguiled by a guest.
The director had reputedly bet his house on the movie, and was so disturbed during the making of the film that he started hearing voices in his head. Hitchcock himself is played by Anthony Hopkins, while his long-suffering wife is played by Helen Mirren.
We are giving away two adults tickets plus merchandise as a first prize, and a set of merchandise for two runners-up.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is answer the following question and send it on a postcard, with your name, address and daytime telephone number to Hitchcock Competition, The Henley Standard, Caxton House, Station Road, Henley RG91AD. The closing date is Friday, February 15.
Question: Which Alfred Hitchcock film features Norman Bates and the Bates Motel?
The prize is non-refundable and there is no cash alternative. Normal Standard competition rules apply. The editor’s choice is final. To see the rules, visit www. henleystandard.co.uk/regulars/competition_rules.php
