This prequel to Disney’s Monsters Inc sees Mike Wazowski and James “Sulley” Sullivan learning their craft of scaring the life out of children at the Monsters University.

With another soundtrack by Randy Newman and with the indomitable Helen Mirren as the teacher, this is sure to delight children.

The Wolverine 3D (12A)

Starring:Hugh Jackman

In the second of his X-Men character’s solo outings, Hugh Jackman takes Logan (the Wolverine) to Japan where he must fight ancient demons disguised as a Samurai.

Jackman gets right under the Wolverine’s skin to make this one of the best sci-fi action hero movies of the year.

The Smurfs 2 (U)

The Smurfs team up with their human friends to rescue Smurfette, who has been kidnapped by Gargamel.

The World’s End (15)

Starring: Simon Pegg, Rosamund Pike, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman

Five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival.

Simon Pegg of Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz fame is at it again with his partner in crime Nick Frost in this black comedy.
