A SECOND chance to catch Danny Boyle’s acclaimed biopic of Apple’s pioneering co-founder Steve Jobs is on offer this weekend at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead.
Steve Jobs stars Michael Fassbender in the title role, with support from Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels.
With a script from Aaron Sorkin (best known for his work on The West Wing and Facebook drama The Social Network), the action of the film centres around three iconic product launches — the Macintosh, the NeXT Computer, and the iMac G3 — yielding an exhilarating portrait of the man at the epicentre of a digital revolution.
Rated 15 and with a running time of 122 minutes, Steve Jobs is showing at 2pm on Saturday and 7.30pm on Sunday.
Also showing at Norden Farm and starring Kate Winslet, is The Dressmaker. Rated 12A and running for 118 minutes, the film is set in Australia in the Fifties.
Tilly Dunnage (Winslet) is a beautiful and talented misfit who returns home after years working as a dressmaker in Paris to right the wrongs of the past.
The Dressmaker is showing at 2pm on Sunday and at 10.30am, 2pm and 8pm on Tuesday.
Tickets for both films are priced from £8.50. For more details or to book, go to www.norden.farm/events
