Henley U3A

LEARN, Laugh and Live are the three new buzzwords used by the University of the Third

LEARN, Laugh and Live are the three new buzzwords used by the University of the Third Age and that is exactly what Henley U3A members experienced on Wednesday, September 14.

Our new season kicked off with a delightful interactive talk by local milliner and proprietor Liz Felix.

Liz illustrated her talk with materials and tools she uses to create bespoke hats for men and women.

We learnt how she creates unique winter and summer hats by shaping fabrics on wooden blocks before sewing and decorating them.

We laughed at her lovely stories and were delighted to hear that Liz remains in Henley, her old stomping ground, working from premises in Reading Road. We live knowing there will always be interesting activities to look forward to with the U3A.
