MEMBERS celebrated the festive season with the annual Christmas party.
The meeting room at the Old Pavilion off Recreation Road was decorated in seasonal style for the event.
Visitors were served mulled wine, apple and blackberry pies and mince pies made by member Wendy Smith. The evening also included a nostalgic look back at some of the society’s own history.
The photographs shown recalled each of the society's summer visits made in the 21st century with a chance to spot friends, changing fashions and afternoon cream teas!
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 10, when Dan Wood will talk about the history of the River Thames.
On Tuesday, February 14, Graham Jones will speak about the Lambourn Valley Railway.
The society’s annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 14. Meetings start at 8pm.
