Murderer talk

A TALK on child murderer Amelia Dyer will be given at Whitchurch village hall on Thursday at 8pm.

Dyer, from Caversham, who was hanged in 1896, was a so-called “baby farmer” who took in unwanted or illegitimate children for payment and promised to bring them up.

However, she would kill her young charges then advertise her services again.

Entry to the event, which has been organsied by Whitchurch History Society cost £3, which includes coffee.
