Cubs clear Henley walkways

CUBS have been busy helping to clear walkways in a Henley wildlife area.

About 13 youngsters from the 1st Henley Scout Group spent an evening clearing pathways in Mill Meadows.

They teamed up with Kellie Hinton, from Henley in Bloom, David Eggleton, from the Gainsborough Residents Association, and members of the Henley Wildlife Group and Park Services.

Kellie Hinton, who chairs the Henley in Bloom committee, said: “We met at the bandstand on a lovely, warm summer evening. The cubs came down and cleared the pathways and walkways to make them more accessible for people to walk through the wildlife area.

“They got a lot of enjoyment out of it and it was a really nice team project between all the different groups.”
