Youth choir band together to make their voices heard

A CHOIR for children and teenagers has been launched in Henley.

Sixty-six youngsters attended the first Henley Youth Choir session on Monday, along with Henley Mayor Martin Akehurst who watched them sing.

The choir is run by Henley Choral Society, a town charity which has been running for more than 40 years.

Sessions are open to eight- to 17-year-olds and led by the conductor of Henley Choral Society Ben Goodson.

Mr Goodson, 23, said: “This is such an exciting start. I am determined to create a youth choir that is fun but that aspires to sing to a professional standard.
