Youngsters get to grips with exotic animals

A YOUTH club in Sonning Common was treated to an evening of exotic animals.

Club SC youngsters held tortoises, lizards and snakes and even watched one of the reptiles eat a mouse.

One of the club’s members, James Taylor, 11, overcame his fears and held a bearded dragon.

Becky Jenkins, club leader, said: “James was terrified of the animals when he first came in for the evening but eventually came round and was brave enough to hold the bearded dragon.”

The animals were provided by Dr Love from Highdown School in Emmer Green.
