Flooding at junction

A WOMAN has asked for help in tackling flooding in Peppard.

A WOMAN has asked for help in tackling flooding in Peppard.

Amanda Greenham said that when it rained heavily a large puddle would form at the junction of Stoke Row Road and Stevens Lane, which was hazardous to drivers.

Mrs Greenham, who lives in Stevens Lane, asked for “guidance” at a meeting of Peppard Parish Council.

She said: “I have lived in my house for 15 years and I have never seen the flooding that we have had in the last 18 months.

“The water goes into the garden of the house opposite me. It is very close to the junction, which means drivers have to go through it in single file. There is an accident waiting to happen.”

Paul Harrison, who represents Peppard on South Oxfordshire District Council, suggested that the council contacted residents.
